I’m so glad you’re here,
This space was born out of something that felt unspeakable for a long time: the unraveling of my relationship with my mother.
If you’re here, maybe you’ve felt it too - grief for someone still living, the ache of emotional distance, the confusion and pain of trying to love someone who cannot meet you there. Maybe you’ve walked away like I have. Maybe you’re still deciding. Maybe you’re just trying to make sense of what this is.
Estranged & Becoming is a quiet corner of the internet where those of us navigating estrangement—especially from a parent—can breathe a little deeper. It’s not here to offer perfect answers or polished conclusions. Just honesty. Reflection. A place to feel less alone.
I write anonymously, not because I’m ashamed, but because some stories need space to unfold without the weight of exposure. Anonymity gives me room to be real—and hopefully, to make room for your own truths too.
This is about unlearning. Rebuilding. Becoming who we are when the blueprint we were given no longer fits.
You are welcome here—whether you’re grieving, healing, raging, or just reading in the quiet hours of your day.
Thanks for being here.
